Big Daddy’s Antiques and finds at the San Francisco Design Center

My search for some interesting Pendant Lights for the Tahoe house took me to Big Daddy’s http://www.bdantiques.com/ last week.  I haven’t been in way to long and they never disappoint with their interesting artifacts and artistic displays. My friend Mary Ann from Classic Casual Home http://www.classiccasualhome.com/  had not been so we met up at Big Daddys before hitting our usual stops in the Design Center.

You gotta love the letter choices above the fireplace.  They are in plain view right as you walk in…

I thought these industrial stools were wonderful

They had these fabulous repurposed pendant lights but they were a little large for our application.

After I left Maryann I went to Palacek http://www.palecek.com/palecek/ to check out the Green Oaks Pendant Lights from Jeffrey Allen Marks

I am really loving these pendants. We are incorporating rope into the stairway design and with some of the other pendant lighting. What do you think? I think they could have a totally different vibe in a mountain home

Loved this wicker headboard in the Belgian Gray Wash, sorry the cell phone picture is so poor.

Palecek has so many great things right now.  Brian their showroom manager is one of the most professional and helpful at the SFDC so it is always fun to stop in. What do you think of the giant driftwood orb? Fabulous isn’t it?

I apologize for my lack of posts lately.  I have been swamped with work and getting my own home ready for the photo shoot next month. Once that is over we will have some semblance of normalcy here. I do have a fabulous guest post lined up that I know you are going to love.  More on that later.

  1. OOooh photos shoot,so exciting!! I'm having a small room in my home featured in a magazine too in July but no photo shoot, just me shooting the photo, but still exciting. Anway, LOVE all the lighting options but smitten with the Jeffrey Allen marks Rope pendants the most! Take it slow dear, everything will fall into place, you'll see, it always does, especially when it comes to your designs!

  4. I love the big OMG. In those old rusty letters, they're a perfect element of humor.

The rope lights are wonderful. Rope is very transitional--nautical, rural--so they work almost anywhere. And what a great way to add texture to a room.

Unless you've been through it, no one can understand getting ready for a photo shoot. We'll hang out here while you get ready. No worries.
