Our Tahoe project is coming along beautifully. Here are some progress photos from my trip last week. Here is a shot of the front of the house after a light snowfall. The Lake Tahoe area (like all of California) has gotten next to no snowfall this year.
This is the beautiful beam work above the entry by J&S Custom. All of the beams were sourced from New England.
This lovely stone is going up on the outside of the home
This is a shot of the massive beam work inside the great room looking into the kitchen
In this lovely Tahoe house there is a little gem of a powder room. The owner and I wanted to create something special for guests visiting the home .
For the vanity base we are using this reclaimed wood piece from Dovetail dovetailfurnitureonline.com
A sink similar to this on top with wall mount faucets
via ebay
We are using one of my all time favorite wallpapers, Nobilis Chene for the walls.
This gorgeous antler mirror from GJ Styles will reside above the sink.
We are using this artillo tile in the limestone finish in natural grey in a herringbone pattern on the floor
via artobrick.com
We are on the hunt search for some great antique/vintage sconces for either side of the mirror possibly in iron. If anyone has some they want to sell or access to some please email me!
On another note my friend Maryann from Classic Casual Home http://www.classiccasualhome.com/ just had her lovely Newport Beach home published in Better Homes and Gardens. Run out and buy a copy I know you will enjoy her style!
Those beams look amazing Cindy! I bet the owners are super excited and I love how your going for a unique vanity and sink with the powder room, I bet the rest of the house will be even more fabulous!

ReplyDeleteOh my my! What a fabulous project, Cindy! Love your choices, esp the artillo tile.
ReplyDeleteThat beam structure in the ceiling is amazing but, hey, New England wants it's beams back! Interesting plan for the powder room although I think it's a little too handsome to be called a powder room. Maybe it's a gunpowder room?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that beam work is soooo beautiful. I love all your choices and can't wait to see more of it. Have a lovely weekend, and so proud of Mary Ann's feature as well! xo Nancy
ReplyDeleteCindy-this project is turning out to be spectacular. Your finishes and details are perfect for the Tahoe vibe. I still miss my parents second home in south lake Tahoe. That mirror is stunning.
