I am finally posting my game room update even though there are a couple of spaces that still need to be tweaked. Redecorating my own home never happens too quickly. You will notice I posted Part 1 of this back in September!! The room has been “pretty much complete for months but I am constantly tweaking. I finally decided to post some pictures before you all forgot about it in the first place. You might want to go back and read Part 1 here before continuing. Once our kids went off to college (many moons ago) this room was neglected and unused except for the tiny little corner where we watched television.
Here is the finished room. This room had a lot of design issues and is probably one of my trickiest room arrangements to date. The bonus is it has the prettiest views in the entire house and we absolutely love spending time here now. This is our new seating area.
As you can see we have beautiful views of the rose garden and surrounding hills from the french doors.
and views of the pool and patio area from the windows….
I think every space needs a mix of old and new. You can read my post on how to get the collected look here.
Two landscape paintings by Pat Huber you can see more of her work here
Can you guess what is behind the old shutters?
Another painting by local artist (and friend) Chris Johnson of Carmel River Beach.
On Friday I will report on the issues with this room (there were many), the before and afters, and sources.
