Merry Christmas from Tahoe. My client and friend Barbie sent me pictures of the Tahoe project all decked out for Christmas so I thought I would share them with you. Barbie has done floral design for years so you are in for a treat! Here is a shot of the house as you are approaching from the street.
Look at the beautiful wreath on the front door. I found that deer head at Beverly's last year and used it on the Berries and Branches tour. I was going to return it and then thought of Barbie. Barbie loved it and took it back to Tahoe. Don't you love the addition of the pheasant feathers so pretty!
Love the beautiful vase filled with amaryllis and greens on the entry table. The table is from Pottery Barn I posted about that in one of the previous posts I did on the entry here
Barbie had a party last Sunday and I hear everyone loved the house. When you enter, the first room to the left is the dining room. Doesn't it look absolutely gorgeous all decked out in it's Christmas best?
Here is what it looked like after the party . Look at the beautiful arrangement she had on the table.
Once you pass the dining room you enter the Great Room. The fireplace is double sided so you can enjoy the cozy fire in the dining room as well as the Great Room. You can see the kitchen off in the distance.
Look how pretty the coffee table looked set up for the party! Darn I wish I could have gone.
Look at how she added a few greens to the base of the horse, love it!!
Barbie has a knack for adding just the right amount of decor without overdoing it. Look at the side table so pretty with the magnolia leaves and more pheasant feathers.
If I know Barbie every inch of the house has some holiday cheer.
The bar is off the kitchen. Wouldn't you love to have a drink here?
I love how she decorated the barn doors in the family suite upstairs. Isn't this adorable?
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of Barbie's Christmas Decor. It really has me in the mood. Doesn't this look like a storybook Christmas?
I want to thank all of you for continuing to read and comment on my blog. This January this blog will be three years old. I cannot tell you how much your comments and friendship have meant to me, particularly this year. This has been a rough year for us caring for aging parents. I appreciate so much your understanding when my blog posts have been infrequent and not always as well thought out as they could be. You guys are the best, really. I cannot thank you enough for being so understanding. Happy Holidays, enjoy this special time with family and friends.
WHAT a gorgeous home you two have created. Love Barbie's Christmas touches everywhere...understated, natural elegance. This is spectacular. Keep up your wonderful blog, Cindy...for us all to enjoy. Merry Christmas.
