Does anyone do red better than Alessandra Branca? She was raised in Rome and has designed homes in Chicago,New York, Rome and places in between. Nearly every room or space has a splash of red her signature and her favorite..
Her book New Classic Interiors is still one of my favorites. Whenever I am thinking about going neutral in my own home I open up her book. You can buy it here http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_21?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=new%20classic%20interiors
Here she is surrounded by red pillows…my favorite photo of her is from her book…she is walking across the bridge in Chicago. I couldn’t find the picture online and I hate scanned pictures, so this will have to suffice. Doesn’t she look like someone you would love to get to know!
My sister lives in Chicago and I can’t wait to stop in her shop Branca this summer when I visit.

Red is one of my all time favorites. I am going to use red sofas in the mountain house. It just keeps popping up all over my house. I love Alessandra Branca and the way she uses red.

Red is not my favorite color for interiors -- or clothing for that matter. I know Diana Vreeland did it well, and Branca has a good design sense too...and yet, I could not live in a red room and feel comforted.

That striped wallpaper is wonderful! so Parisian and saucy! I never use red (except for lipstick) but I enjoy seeing what others do with it.
