Well let’s say she is clever, resourceful design savvy, and extremely creative. Kelley Motschenbacher is one of those people you might meet at a party and think wow I would love to get to know her better.
She designs beautiful homes in her own bespoke way.
She has an eye for unique and wonderful art and picking the right fabrics to complement them
She is not afraid to design outside of the box……
She makes fabulous lamps out of found and antique objects
She designed one of my all time favorite dining rooms
and the friendliest most inviting kitchen…
She designs garden spaces too… She said each olive jar was a little different so it was a bit of a challenge. Note how she resolved it by placing stones underneath to make them the same height. She purchased the spouts in France, I am crazy about this fountain. I have a feeling this is going to be all over pinterest in a matter of minutes!
Wouldn’t you love to curl up in her garden with a book in this big comfy kooboo chair?
I would be her garden slave if I could enjoy all this!
She grows grapes
and vegetables…
and beautiful roses (she likes david austins’ too!)
and sets a beautiful table!
She does holidays in her own unique style
She pens one of the most widely read blogs in blogland …The Polished Pebble…If you haven’t read it you must….http://ppebble.blogspot.com/
And if you do not feel completely inadequate at this point she has a store filled with vintage and one of a kind items from her garden http://www.thepolishedpebbleshop.com/ that would make wonderful hostess gifts or a gift for you!
I bet you would like to get to know Kelley better hop on over to her blog! It is filled with inspiration and eye candy! My favorite post was the one where she added zinc to her commercial refrigerator for her new kitchen in Ojai. When I read that I knew she was my girl!!
LOVE Kelley's blog! I stumbled onto her blog while looking for potager ideas and my life hasn't been the same since. I've found so much inspiration for my own home in her blog. I've always had a very neutral home, but thanks to Kelley there are now pops of color everywhere. Im not afraid of color anymore after seeing how she uses it in her rooms. She uses neutrals and color so well. If you haven't been to her blog...go now!
ReplyDeleteOh my heavens Cindy! Wow...I am speachless. thank you so very much for all of the kind and thoughtful words. You are my favorite pinterest pinner by far...I think I have re-pinned every stinkin' one of your pins...which I suppose means I'm copying you or perhaps it means we do indeed speak the same language!
ReplyDeleteXXOO kelley
I have only recently (and happily) discovered The Polished Pebble. What a talented person she is! x Sharon
