My mother passed away last year and my mother in law passed several years ago so Mothers Day can be bittersweet. I am no longer am on the hunt for an appropriate mothers day gift. Since I am a mother I will choose some things that I would love for Mother’s Day and hopefully you will too!
I LOVE this Stinson Shirt by Lisa Bayne for Artful Home.
I live in linen in the summer. I know some of you do not like the fact that linen wrinkles so easily but I think that’s the beauty of it. I love the high low styling of this shirt and I love that Lisa’s line is just the slightest bit more fitted so it flatters.
I would probably wear this shirt with a pair of white jeans. My daughter bought me a pair of these jeans for Christmas and I love them. I don’t usually cave in and buy expensive jeans but these from DL live up to their claim. They really do flatter the tush.

I have worn a pale gray nail polish all winter. I think it is time to switch to a pretty white. This is Essie’s number one color on Amazon right now called marshmallow. It even sounds yummie!

I think the casual nature of this shirt calls out for simple accessories. I love water buffalo horn jewelry. It is sustainable, inexpensive and light looking with summer attire. These earrings and bracelet would be just enough with this casual outfit.

These soludos espadrilles mirror the same light and airy quality of the Stinson Shirt and I love anything crochet. I don’t think one should pay big bucks for espadrilles as they rarely last (at best) two seasons.

My beach bag is beginning to look a little “tired”. I think this one from hat attack is a fun alternative. Love that the raffia ties in with the soles of the espadrilles. You know how I love a little texture in my interiors and my attire.

These Wallaroo hats are a new fav. They have an SPF of 50, they don’t break the bank, and they are packable! I love the wooden bead detail on this one.

So here is my mom’s day roundup. What do you have on your mom’s day wish list?

Have a great week. Thanks to so many of you for the well wishes regarding my hip replacement.
I can’t begin to give my surgeon (Dr. Hershey of Precision Orthopedics) enough credit. He did my last one two years ago and it went fabulous but this one even better. I am 3 weeks out , no pain, never had to take anything other than Tylenol, and am back to all normal activities. As in everything (I believe) it is great to have a team approach. Rob Snyder was my PT and he pushed me to do more but kept it simple so I would do the exercises. I am forever grateful to the two of them. They are rock stars in my opinion!!
Love those earrings! (I would wear them with so many different things.) Gray polish. How does it look against your skin? I imagine it is pretty or you wouldn't have worn it, but it isn't something I would've thought of. Now I am intrigued... Next time I am near a cosmetic counter, I just may pick around for a light silvery gray color and give it a try!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you continue to do well.
You might like it! It works well with white hair!! Thanks for the well wishes!!
DeleteI gave Howard the link to your fashion post with the flip flops. Love the dark linen top with white jeans.
ReplyDeleteMan I love those flip flops...you seriously could walk all over the city! Hope Howie comes through!!
DeleteI really like that linen shirt, especially the color. Would look great contrasted against white jeans, but I also like it with the pants shown that are the same color as the shirt. Nice selections.

ARTFUL HOME has some lovely pieces right now.....................I BEST CRUISE THE PAGES ONE MORE TIME AND COMMIT!!!
You looked absolutely gorgeous my dear in yellow today on the blog!!
DeleteThe high/low hem on the Stinson linen (love) shirt is my favorite, especially with the hem tucked in, in front, and the back free, to show a belt in the front. The pleat in back is great too. It looks like the fabric drapes beautifully. Happy Mothers Day Cindy!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to tuck the front in with a belt especially if one has your figure!!
DeleteFun ideas for Mother's day and I love the white polish!
ReplyDeleteI need to get a bit of sun so I can switch to white!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your wonderful ideas for Mother's Day, I love all of them. My mom has been gone now for 40 years, lost her way too soon but I still have a wonderful mother in law. Hope your Mother's Day is full of blessings! Enjoy.
