Anthropologie & Co. has combined their BHLDN Weddings and Terrain brands to reopen in downtown Walnut Creek in a 30,000 sf former Barnes & Noble location. In addition to wedding dresses on the second floor, the new location features a home design section and offers a huge selection of accessories and home décor in addition to clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry. This is currently the only Anthropologie and Company on the West Coast. They are opening one in Palo Alto soon as well.
We were up helping our daughter paint her kitchen cabinets (well Steve was). Jenna and I snuck over to Anthro and checked it out.

The wow factor at the entrance begs you to explore more.
The outdoor “terrain” areas are located on both balconies and at the main entrance,
There is a home design and decor section on the main floor
A beauty section filled to the brim...
source
Also on the main floor a limited edition apparel collection. So many interesting items here that you can't find in any other store or online, and price tags to match.

The second floor houses a shoe collection that my daughter was drooling over

More clothing beautifully displayed upstairs

And of course the BHLDN wedding section

I can't wait to go back. The store was packed. I am hoping things will settle down. With the Christmas Season approaching probably not until after!
WOW! What an amazing store full of many goodies.
ReplyDeleteYou would love it Ron!!
DeleteCindy, Houston had the 1st BHLDN concept store in the country, exactly next door to the Athro shop. We all love their concept, love shopping there, love just looking around as everything they do appeals to most of us. I wish my home looked like this !!! Awesome !!
ReplyDeleteI know they have started one in Pennsylvania, Newport, and Palo Alto, I wouldn't be surprised if Houston would be soon! You guys have the best shopping in the States!!
DeleteSo happy to get a sneak peek. Looking forward to the new one in Palo Alto. I think I like the Terrain items most of all ; ))))

Is it going to be in a new spot Kelley or where the old store is? Palo Alto is about a half hour closer to me!
DeleteWow, I hope they open one of these in SoCal. I love the idea of one stop shopping!
ReplyDeleteKaren
They are Karen. They are either enlarging one or building a new one!
DeletePerhaps we can persuade them to come to France!!! I could spend hours wandering around, but for now I will have to be content with drooling over your photos instead!

I am hoping they open one of their 30 to 40 stores here in Phoenix!
Cindy thank you so much for the link. I am anxious to check it out. I would think Phoenix or Houston would be a logical option for them! From the looks of the store when I was there it is a huge success.
DeleteCindy, Thanks for the great tour of this store! It's been on my list to get to. I always love the home catalog from Anthro so cannot wait to see much of that in person. Sounds like worth a day trip! x Kim
