Over 50 Fashion-Lisa Bayne Cloud Tunic Three Ways

For those of you that aren't familiar with Lisa Bayne, she is the CEO of Artful Home.  Lisa's background is in textiles and fine arts, and she had extensive marketing and merchandizing experience with such brands as J. Jill, Gymboree, Smith & Hawken and Eddie Bauer. Currently, in addition to her CEO duties Lisa has started her own line under the Artful Home Umbrella.  Her line is affordable, stylish, and she knows how to flatter the over 40 figure.

My first piece from her collection is the Cloud Tunic. Naturally I grabbed the gray but it is also offered in a lovely petal pink (very big this year) and they just added a light gray (darn I might have to order another).  I find this tunic to be extremely versatile.  I have to be careful that I don't wear it too much. It is extremely flattering.  It isn't as long as a lot of tunics but just long enough that it covers the bum. It might run just a tad small.  The small fit me perfect but I certainly did not need the X-small.

It looks great with leggings for a casual look here

Don't be afraid to shop your own closet.  My so called "evening wear" consists of a lot of vintage jewelry and accessories that I have collected over the years.  I shop ebay and etsy for interesting vintage jewelry and accessories.  I am newly the proud owner of the Earth Brands boots below.  They are super comfortable and are wide enough to accomodate my bunion.  I can't wait to wear them. I am determined to seek out fashionable shoes that are comfortable. They may not seem like high fashion but if you have any foot issues you know fashionable footwear is a struggle! I am also way to old to be uncomfortable.

Jennifer from A Well Styled life wears the cloud tunic with a skirt.  I wouldn't have thought of it but it looks great on her here.  Check it out and see what you think.

What are you adding to your closet this season?  Any finds you would like to share?  You guys have the best suggestions!

  2. Nancy I ordered those same darn shoes but they would not accomodate my bunion! Love that Cole Haan Sale. You should order the tunic. It is one of the most versatile pieces I own and it is super flattering!

  3. I will order the tunic, Cindy. I bought a similar one from Anthro for the Moscow trip...but it's wool and too warm to wear inside. I love how you use scarves....now I look in my scarf drawer all the time. I wear the one you gave me a lot!

  10. Lucky you being able to wear leggings, they just don't fit me or I don't know how to buy correctly, would wear around house. Since have gained weight back butt/legs too big. Can't wear many knee high boots with my doggoned lymphedema left leg. Calf is twice as big as right leg.Even boots with bigger calves don't work for me. Have problem being able to wear many shoes with fat swollen foot, not pretty. Guess we all have our own crosses to bear huh? Can't wear new short boots with higher heels either.
Loved that tunic, angle of lower part would help disguise bigger hips/belly. That blue is so pretty.
    Have wonderful Fall week
