Friday Fun Stuff This and That

Alesandra Branca’s Mushroom Risotto Recipe on One Kings Lane sounds fabulous to me.  I am thinking I might try this for Christmas dinner.

You can find the recipe and lots of great entertaining tips here

Crazy over this family room from the Atlanta Holiday Home Tour that Sherry posted about on her blog here

One of the prettiest holiday rooms I have seen this season on Instagram from French Garden House.  If you don’t already follow her you might want to! I am hoping to see the enlarged version on her blog

A lovely Tartan Wedding Palette here

This fireplace  redo here by Annie of Most Lovely Things should prove to everyone the power of paint.  Doesn’t this room just make you want to curl up with a book this time of year.

If you need a last minute hostess gift run to TJ’s and pick up one of their pretty bouquets.  Wrap it up in butcher paper and tie with a pretty bow

  1. I love the painted fireplace. I've always said "a can of paint can change your life", you just have to pick the right color. ;)

  4. Cindy,

I make Giada DeLaurentiis's mushroom risotto all the time and it's fabulous - I'm sure you can't go wrong with that for any dinner! Love the wedding theme (so cute!) and of course, Annie's fireplace! She and I were just messaging on her IG photo of it as I was expressing that I don't like my brick fireplace surround and I've been tempted to paint it but I'm chicken! I may just do it though - it looks so much better!

Can't wait to see your home tour on Monday! I will be stopping by for sure...

    1. Sheila I am going to look that recipe up as well. I am thinking about serving it alongside beef tenderloin for Christmas to change it up a bit...what do you think?
