Onx Wines Uber Chic Tasting Room in Tin City

Onx Wines New Tasting Room is officially open.  The wines are wonderful and Steve and I loved the uber chic vibe of their new space. In the words of Onx founder Steve Olson  “no detail goes overlooked, no label unadorned”. The tasting room employees are extremely knowledgeable and charming.  Annie was our host for the day.

This wonderful gallery wall is one of the most clever I have come across

The splash of chartreuse counter balances  the gray exterior and earthy furnishings

Another clever art wall across from the gallery wall noting the history of the estate terrior

That is Steve paying Annie for our purchases.

The outside patio artfully done…

Checkout the gorgeous labels on the wine.  The Reckoning came home with us.

If you are in Paso this weekend for the Harvest Festival be sure to stop in.

We also stopped in to visit Jacob Toft at his new tasting room also in Tin City.  We have long been fans of Jacob’s wines so we are happy he finally has a “real home” .  Jacob’s charm and passion for his winemaking are contagious.  We loved all of his wines but particularly enjoyed  Tessa’s and Sarah’s Cuvee and had to bring them home.

We had lunch at Thomas Hill Organics one of our favorites.  They have a great outside patio when the weather is cooperative which is most of the time.  I had the kingfish sandwich (probably the best sandwich I have ever had) and Steve had the burger.  We are huge fans of Thomas Hill. If you follow me on Instagram you would think all we do is eat!

They added a lovely bar area about a year or so ago

It is a great spot to grab a bite or a glass of wine before dinner

I think this gallery wall is extremely clever if you are artistic at all it would be super easy to copy.  The illustrations are water color over newsprint.  Sorry I don’t have a better close up.

We wrapped up our weekend at the lake with a beach day on Sunday for Beau.

How was your weekend?  Did you do anything fun?

  5. Cindy,
We've failed to thoroughly explore Paso Robles, especially their vineyards. This looks like a great one. I think we're overdue for a visit, especially during harvest. The wall gallery at the winery, as well as the restaurant, is fun. I would have to use fun tack to keep the pictures aligned! OCD issues.
I love yellow labs, and your sweetie looks like he's loving his day at the beach!
