Ten Stylish Laundry Rooms You Can Copy

We are finishing up our powder room project at my house.  Next stop the Laundry Room!!  Here are some of my favorites that are inspiring me right now.
Super cute laundry nook. I love the wood countertop over the washer/dryer...the dark accent wall with the mirror and the pictures! | House*Tweaking

I love the idea of hiding the washer and dryer behind a pretty curtain. This would work great when the laundry room is also a bathroom. Everything is there, right where you need it, but dressed up and camouflaged.

  1. My laundry room is in the garage and looks like Home Alone's basement, scary. They are all very beautiful.

  3. These are fabulous;; more like kitchens! I love that hallway laundry counter- maybe because of the pup in the window? I can't see piles of laundry on that floor though. Have a great day Cindy! xo Nancy

  4. Cindy,
my favorite laundry room is at "Sunnyside" - the historic and idyllic home of Washington Irving. The dryer is outside....and the wash basin is a tub and sideboard. How far we have come......I have shelves in my laundry room that I love and a basket on wheels that makes me so happy!

We have been to the East many times but have never been there! We need to put that on our bucket list!

  8. Cindy you must be reading my mind! how did you know our laundry is in flux (nice word for a mess) right now? It's the tiniest thing too so it requires some real thought. That second image is giving me some serious ideas.

  11. Hi Cindy! Well :) this is timely as we have yet to design our laundry room and I will save a couple of these photos for inspiration. The laundry room was originally downstairs in this house. We moved it upstairs when we started rebuilding and will use the former space as a mud room for the dog stuff. Right now my laundry room is an empty room with two large front loaders. I think I will have a counter an some open shelves put in .. still thinking. Great post and I hope you are enjoying your day:)

  12. I am obsessed with laundry rooms; much more so than actually doing laundry. Beautiful inspiration. I especially like the two with skirting to hide the machines. I did something similar in a design for my mom's laundry room. :)

  13. I notice these are all front loaders............I really WISH they would bring back the TOP loader..........My back isNOT liking these side loaders much anymore and mine too is in our pantry which is narrow...........I spy a couple of these photos in a narrow location. If I can give any suggestions here one needs space........to bend especially as WE age!LOve the curtain LOOK!

    1. I agree with the Contessa!! Does anyone else hate these new machines? I used to be able to dye fabric etc in the old ones. These new water saving gems are awful in my opinion! I am all for conserving as long as they work!!

  14. Cindy I would LOVE any one of these laundry rooms!! I have a stacked unit in my pantry and it is so difficult as Elizabeth has mentioned! Gorgeous choices!

  15. Cindy,
I wish I had a laundry room. We have a garage space where the builder placed the washer/dryer hook up. We've gotten used to it but I'd love the laundry room with the puppy...and any of the other's would be great too! :-)

  16. Thanks so much for the inspiration! Our laundry room needs a big time upgrade and since our guest room was an addition, you have to walk through our ugly mess of a laundry room to get there. Yikes! Looking forward to seeing your storage ideas.
