Yesterday I had to pick up some last minute items for the photo shoot next week so I made a slight detour and stopped in my favorite shop in Carmel Valley, Tancredi & Morgen http://www.tancredimorgen.com/tancredimorgen.com/Home.html. Marsha (one of the owners and artist extraordinaire) happened to be shopkeeper for the day so we visited as I oohed and aahed over their latest offerings. Marsha and Roger provide locals with their own “hunters alley” of sorts. Marsha, with a background in fashion design, creates one of a kind purses, shirts, pillows and accessories, many in vintage fabrics.
Like these wonderful handbags…
It was all I could do to not walk out the door with one of these bolsters of raw linen.
This cell phone picture is horrible but these wonderful block printed scarves (a bargain at $65) are handmade by one of Marsha’s friends.
This wonderful mirror was constructed of an old window by Marsha’s husband Roger.
It makes me happy that in addition to the big box stores there are still local and national outlets for unique one of a kind finds. Do you have some favorite haunts that provide unique one of a kind merchandise? I would love for you to share them with us.
I hunt every weekend looking for vintage finds. One of a kind treasures, that enhance the story of my home and things I love. Thanks for sharing your great find and resource.
