This winter we are hoping to get around to painting our glazed walls white again so I am drawn to any and everything white.

How about you? Are you loving white right now or preferring a little fall color?

  1. So am I. I love everything you've shown here, Cindy. It's difficult to live with re-doing but in the end it's so worth it.

  2. Did you say white out? More, please!!! BTW, do you remember those little bottles of white outs to fix typos? :) Wonder if people still use them. Oooops, sorry to go off topic.
    Hope you are well!

  3. I've always been drawn to dark, moody colors. My last place was dark taupe from head to toe but when I moved to my new house, I decided to go white. Not a stark white white but an old white that has a little history in its bones. White has totally made me a better person!

  5. I will always love white! These are great examples of white used with darker colours and interesting textures to create a warm and inviting interior, rather than stark white which can look so cold and clinical. Xx Sharon

  7. Cindy, I too have white walls but, I am going with color in the furniture. Maybe slipcovers for summer in all white.

  8. We are just the biggest fans of a white and neutral palette - so soothing and calm. Especially love the room with the antlers...amazing!!

  9. Hi Cindy, since the reno, I am finding living with white so easy....everything looks lovely in white rooms ! I am finding that the minute I add colour, in accessories or furniture, I take it away...and like the effect much better. I am really preferring more white, or shades of it around here...All the examples above are beautiful...N. .xo

  10. Love white! In the right setting and "location" which means in sunny climate throughout the whole year. But I paint walls always in a kind of off-white/limestone white, otherwise it would look too sterile or "clinical" for me. We have loose covers in white old linen in our guest house. In our main house it would look wrong during Fall and Winter. So, here we have neutral tones which work well during the whole year, just timeless.
Really like your image-collection! It shows how perfect white linen is for upholstery.
How is your latest project going? Kitchen, Bath, facade????? Would love to hear!
Sorry for my long absence but a lot of unexpected things came up during the last few months. So, I'm coming back to the blogworld slowly but - hopefully - surely.

I'm aware dear Cindy, that I own you a letter and......garden report. Feeling awful about and hope that you'll forgive me, please!!! It will come for next year. Let's talk again....
Hope that you had a wonderful summer,
    Warmest greetings, Karin

  11. White, gimme white. When I pulled up the worn tile in one of my rooms I painted the plywood subfloor white. Mixed the pigment in polyurathane and thought it was a stop gap measure. That was 10 years ago. The gap was larger than I expected! I keep that white floor spotless. Just looking at it makes me feel pure and good and know that I'm God's child. Now do you understand how powerful white can be?

  12. I loved every one of these interiors. There is something so calming and timeless about a white interior. Like you, I prefer to see an all white scheme paired with antiques or rustic furniture rather than a totally modern and minimalist look. Still, I find I can't live without color. I have white pieces, such as living room carpet, daybed and chairs, but I use a lot of throws to keep them clean (I have a dog) and in season.

  13. These images are so luxurious and yet soothing. I love the freshness of using all white and accenting with other shades. Lovely post!

  14. I am so with you Cindy. I have been looking at white interiors these past few weeks thinking how lovely it would be to bring some white back into our home to lift the existing colour even if we don't go the whole way!
Have a wonderful week. Paul X
