Ethnic Chic… Cross Cultural Design

I live in a Spanish Colonial in great need of updating so I am really drawn to anything with an ethnic vibe of late.  My walls were all originally white and they have been glazed for the last 10+ years.  I am thinking of going white again. What do you think? I like the look of what Megan Megas has done below.

I love the matching twins with the suzani pillows and the big bolster behind in what looks like a Peter Dunham fabric.  MLB does know how to do the look

I am also working with a client who has some wonderful early Asian antiques and artifacts so I am having fun searching for wonderful items to compliment what she has already done.

I would love to hear what you think.  What do you think about the images above?  Would you like to infuse a little cross cultural chic in your own home?

  1. All fabulous! I could live in any of those homes / rooms. The white walls are offset by lots of wood tones and textures. And black accents!

  3. These images bring a feeling of calm, old world luxury to my mind. I love bringing in elements from our travels into my own home. I say go white again with the walls. You cannot go wrong there. Love this post!
