I am working for a client who has great style and a really fun house. She has done the entire home herself (quite beautifully) but got stumped on the master suite and called me.
We chose this fabric (Santos in Feather) below from Kravet as our inspiration fabric. It incorporates the wall color (Benjamin Moore Overcast), the trim color (Benjamin Moore White Dove) and the fireplace wall and cabinetry color (Farrow and Ball light gray), with the beams and wood pieces in the room. The duvet and two simple shams will be covered in this. Everything else on the bed will be neutral.
This jute dust ruffle from Villa Home will grace the bottom of my client’s bed. We are also using Euro Linen shams from Villa Home in the same colorway. The quilt will be ivory. Most of the time the duvet will be folded at the end of the bed.
My client has some interesting art and some childhood keepsakes that are just wonderful that we plan to incorporate in the design.
We designed a simple fireplace surround for the fireplace very similar to this.
We are going to use these Aidan Gray Sconces on either side of the fireplace.
She is using one of her own bedside tables and we are adding this one from Dovetail
She has two nice Queen Anne Wing Chairs that we are going to slipcover in this Oatmeal Linen
They will be skirted to the floor and piped in ivory linen. These pillows from the Villa Home Collection will go on the chairs
We are going to use this adorable little table from Dovetail in between her two wing chairs. We like the way the table repeats the surfaces of the sconces.
This (now discontinued) animal print from Duralee is our accent fabric. My client has a darling littlle french chair that she is going to upholster herself in this. It will be repeated on a cute little vintage bench in the bathroom.
We are hoping to use these lamps from Dovetail on each bedside table if they are not too large. We will change the shades out to oatmeal linen.
Hopefully we will get some good pictures and share them with you when the room is completed!
Happy Friday!!
