Styles evolve but does the appeal of black and white remain current? Is it a simple decorating scheme or does it pack a powerful punch? What do you think?

These are some of my favorite images. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful black and white rooms. Not severe, but easy on the eyes....perhaps because of the wood, sisal and brown furniture.

I agree completely Loi the texture lends warmth.
DeleteI love all of these images. For me black and white works when it is combined with warm brown textures - natural fiber rugs, rough hewn woods or beams, etc. to warm it up...then I just love it!
ReplyDeleteSo true Barbara it seems sterile otherwise.
DeleteI think you've found a perfect balance as the schemes are not essentially all black and white but more a contrast of white and darks...they all work beautifully with injections of warmer woods and accessories.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!

Thanks Fiona! Sometimes I don't realize why I am drawn to particular images until you all so graciously point it out.
