Project Design-Simple Ideas to Update Your Entry Roundup

Maryann and I were so pleased with this group.  It has always been our goal with Project Design to feature a different group of bloggers each time. We feel it is important for our readers to see a fresh group each time and in turn  reach out to more bloggers.  These ladies were amazing.  They showed us how to create a welcoming space regardless of size.  They certainly illustrated my six steps and then some!
six simple steps to creating a welcoming entry
Cassie Bustamante lives in a small cape (which she says are infamous for tiny entries).  She proved small can be mighty when it comes to appeal. I love the personalized chalboard for her kids.

Claire Brody does not have a large space but she created maximum impact with this fabulous gallery wall. This might seem overwhelming in another part of the house but it creates a fabulous statement here. I am smitten with this one.

My friend Mary Ann’s fresh California style is evident in her Russian Hill apartment.  She has one of those lovely old San Francisco entries that she dressed in her signature style. Maryann knows how to welcome guests (I know first hand) and her entry reflects her sunny personality.

Amanda from Dixie Delights created a lovely entry in her Southern home by dressing her console table with a pretty new skirt and adding pretty hand painted shades to her chandelier.  Isn’t it gorgeous? Doesn’t it make you want to see the rest of the house?!

Susan from Our French Oasis lives in a small French village with her husband and five children. She chronicles her life there.  When styling the entry of her lovely French farmhouse she wanted it to be functional and pretty.  It oozes French charm and hospitality.

I love the color Kim from Northern Californa Style painted her entry. I am going to add this color to my arsenal.   Again try something different that you might not try other places.  It is so fresh and fun and filled with her laid back California Style.

Becky from This is Happiness demonstrated how to carve out an entry space where there is not an “official entry”.  I had the pleasure of meeting Becky a few years ago at Roundtop.  Her pretty entry reflects her friendly Texas style

Last but certainly not least my friend Sheila from Maison de Cinq wowed us with  her lovely French Entry.  Sheila, like me shares a love of antiques.  That gorgeous mirror definitely sets the tone for her wonderful entry. Doesn’t if make you want to see more of her stunning home?

  7. I love all of these ideas! I have a small entry that isn't really a separate space & have been puzzled as to what to do there. I'm feeling inspired now!
