Fashion Over Fifty Ultimate Fashion Essential The White Tunic Shirt

I don’t know about you but the older I get the better I like white.  I don’t think there is anything more flattering on a woman over 50 than a crisp white shirt.  Here are a few of my favorites!

The Kaylynn Tunic from the Finley Shirt is a great option for work.

I have this Comfy USA tunic in Polka Dot and love the flattering fit. The fabric is also packable so it comes out of your suitcase just like this!

Love the way this one from Planet covers the bum

I like this one from one of my favorite brands Comfy USA but I find that on me one that is not fitted at the waist is not very flattering.  My sister looks great in this style.

Lafayette 148’s shirts are always top notch if you are willing to pay a little more.

The J Crew Endless Shirt is a great casual favorite.

  1. Cindy! Love your style! Timeless! I just pinned the white shirts I don't have and will wait for my JCrew one to arrive in the mail. Now all I need is your gorgeous gray hair to complete the look!

  4. Yep! The last photo. White crisp Man tailored shirt, holes in wornout jeans that's me most of the time.
Love a white closet filled with an array of style white shirts from Tee's to blouses. A few Blazers to play them up or down, holes in jeans of many style, a shoes with pointed toes and from flats to pumps.

Love this post, showing style at any age can be worn well.
You know I am that 50 group but it doesn't stop me.

I have a secret Cindy.... About my white man tailored shirts, I often hit the men's department at Target, the clearance racks and find in small white crisp button down shirt tailed casual shirts that I buy and wear as well, I will often get stopped and told I love your artsy look, and they will ask about the shirt.... I say men's clearance $5.00 and more then often I find white cool looks.

  5. I love to wear white. I also love white jeans. I just bought my first pair last year. They are cropped and look so cute with any colorful top, or with a black top and black strappy sandals.

  7. These are great. White shirts are my go-to. If they're good enough for Ina Garten, they're good enough for me. (I've been told I look like her! :-)

  8. I totally agree, and I always default to a crisp white shirt. I'm looking for longer lengths, so this is great! Love your pairings- we would be twins. xo Nancy

  14. You've captured the sophisticated, classic look for summer, Cindy. White is very appealing-especially this season-it feels so fresh and cool (heaven knows I need cool in these temps in Chico). These are great options. I like how you have styled them. I like a little nip and tuck in the waist. I'm off to look at links!
Thanks for bringing your stylish self to our Lifestyle Linkup, my friend!
