What defines Rough Luxe for you?  Which image most appeals to you, and why? Do you prefer texture over color?

  1. I love the rough luxe look - I tried it out in a small way at home, and then in a big way at our weekend place. I am definitely a texture over color person. The first photo is from one of my favorite magazine spreas houses of all time and that sums it up for me - linen, wood and an elegant chandelier.

  2. I agree Phyllis about that MElle design dining area above...It is one of my favorites of all time. Those ladies are so talented!

  3. Very hard to choose a favourite. I could very happily live with all of these. I love the look of rustic looking tables combined with wicker or slipcovers and a glam chandelier. x Sharon

    1. A little glam with the organic rusticity does it for me to Sharon!

  4. This is one of my favorite styles. Love all the beams and wood ceilings.

  5. The first one is stunning! The second simpler...the third has such great composition...

...and on and on and on...

    Great post!

    1. Thank you so much Linda for stopping by! I really appreciate it!

  6. Cindy,
I love the very last room the best. The combination of the beams, wicker and copper contrasted against the bright white is so refreshing. Really I love an old beam anywhere.

  7. I love all of these dining rooms - all of them invite you into the space with great style, but without feeling too stuffy or intimidating!
